Theatre Royal Plymouth - The Star Seekers
Have you ever dreamt of flying to the moon? Meeting an alien? Becoming an astronaut? Join The Wardrobe Ensemble and The Wardrobe Theatre on a journey through the stars at Theatre Royal Plymouth Tuesday 4 – Saturday 8 April.
Inspired by our childhood wonder of the universe, The Wardrobe Ensemble and The Wardrobe Theatre have created a unique theatre experience for children; a show that explores the limitless majesty of galaxies, the solar system, shooting stars and planets and delves into one of the greatest unanswered questions of the universe: What do astronauts really have for dinner?!
After the success of previous family shows Eliza & The Wild Swans and Edgar & The Land Of Lost, as well as international hit productions Riot and 33, The Wardrobe Ensemble create a brand new show for young audiences in collaboration with The Wardrobe Theatre.
The Wardrobe Ensemble and The Wardrobe Theatre were born together in the summer of 2011 out of a shared passion for live performance. Touring theatre company The Wardrobe Ensemble have flourished, selling out shows in Edinburgh, touring internationally and establishing themselves as one of the country’s most exciting young companies. Meanwhile, theatre venue The Wardrobe Theatre has also grown from strength to strength garnering a reputation as Bristol’s most exciting performance venue, dedicated to putting on daring, interesting theatre by the region’s most exciting artists and companies. Although spawned from the same acorn, 4 years later this is the first full collaboration between the two arts organisations.
This week of shows has been made possible thanks to the support of Bristol City Council Creative Seed Funding.
Tickets are priced at £9 and can be booked online at www.theatreroyal.com or by calling the Theatre Royal Plymouth Box Office on 01752 267222. Concessions are available.
